River Fun

The day started out drizzly and overcast but by the time we finished Kerry's delicious pancake and bacon breakfast, the rain had stopped. We drove to the Hudson River access at the end of Dad's road, and met cousin Fred and Uncle Bill, Fred's daughter Mikayla, Chris, Will, and Dad and Joyce. 

Fred and Bill launched the boat, and we had a nice hour of touring this part of the river, about 5 miles in all.

When we got hungry they put the boat back on it's trailer and Fred cooked up some burgers and dogs at the pavilion.

 

The weather cooperated and we were soon joined by Beth, who brought their dog Charlie, and new puppy Junie B., and Old English sheepdog. So cute!

Later we returned to the lodge and the kids took to the lake, riding paddleboards, kayaks, and canoes until we all got tired. After a little rest we headed to downtown Glens Falls and had dinner at the DownTown City Tavern before driving to Martha's for ice cream. Today's guess the flavor challenge also includes Bill and Fred and Chris and Jackson, who joined us.
